Inspired by a love for big stories, aviation and being a part of big things, Recon Five Media was founded in 2018 in Virginia by Mr. Rick Charles, a former U.S. military aviator, aviation industry professional and lifelong AvGeek.

Rick has been a stills photography for decades only later to discover videography and aerial imagery which is now our primary "focus" (pun intended!).

Recon Five Media specializes in fast-moving subjects, action and motion where do-overs and retakes are not an option.  Whether its an aircraft in flight, a breaking news story or weather time lapse sequences, we excel in the challenging environment of "getting it right the first time" because that's the only chance we'll get.

Brand, lifestyle and travel imagery is our most recent endeavor where we can capture the better aspects of life and the products that make it happen.

Recon Five Media is a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Certified Service-disabled, Veteran-owned Small Business.
